Principal's Letter

Sunrise Elementary Families,

 

I am honored to be joining you next year as Principal at Sunrise! I have a passion for ensuring that all students receive an excellent education that brings out their individual strengths. Knowing that I am joining a team with the same vision excites me greatly. I am a dedicated leader who values open communication with families and other stakeholders. I look forward to earning your trust as we work together in the coming year.

 

Through my 18 years in education I have served as Elementary Principal, High School Principal, Middle School Dean, Instructional Coach, Special Education Teacher, and 3rd grade teacher. I began my teaching career as a non-traditional teacher with a Masters Degree in Psychology and have since earned my Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I am looking forward to putting my expertise to work at Sunrise. I have chosen to move to the West Valley because my new husband has long standing ties to the local area.

 

I look forward to our first school year together learning and growing with our amazing students, dedicated staff, supportive parents, and close knit community.
