Bicycles and Scooters
Many students ride their bikes and/or scooters to and from school. Riders are reminded to obey all city rules for riding safety. Bike/scooter riding is not allowed on school grounds, in the parking lot, or on sidewalks surrounding the school. Bike lanes should be used. Bicycles/scooters are to be walked across streets and in crosswalks. Bikes and scooter must be kept in the bike rack at the north end of the campus. Student-provided chains/locks must be used. The school will make every effort to protect bicycles, however, as with other personal items brought to Sunrise, we cannot accept financial responsibility for bicycles. Riding a bicycle/scooter to school is the student's choice and the student must assume the risk of vandalism or theft. Although kept to a minimum, vandalism and theft have occurred in our bike areas, so please be aware. Theft of bicycles from the school grounds should be reported to the police either by the student or parents.
