My name is Asha Smith. I have been a teacher at Sunrise for the past 4 years. But I have been an educator for the past 11 years. My journey began in Atlanta, Georgia. Where I graduated from Georgia State University. After teaching in Atlanta, I had the opportunity to teach in Bahrain. A small island in the Middle East. Where I taught English to Bahraini natives. I was able to experience other cultures and learn even more about myself as an educator. You truly can make a difference anywhere. I have taught 1st and 3rd grades but 2nd grade is by far my favorite. I love seeing how much students grow from August to May. I am grateful to be your student's teacher this year.
