Mrs. Chavez
My name is Savannah Chavez and I am a reading specialist here at Sunrise. I have been teaching for 10 years at Sunrise Elementary. I taught 1st grade and 2nd grade before becoming a reading specialist. This is my third year as a reading specialist which I love. I was born and raised in Missouri which is where I went to Evangel University to get my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I have also gotten my Reading Endorsement for K-8 Reading in Arizona. I enjoy baking, reading, traveling, and spending time with my family (including my adorable one-year-old son Bennett).
I am excited about teaching reading this year, and I can’t wait to see all the growth that each student will make as a reader!
